Dr. Grant Williamson

AirRater Head of Data and Analytics
Senior Research Fellow
University of Tasmania
University of Tasmania Profile

Grant is a landscape ecologist and spatial scientist whose research bridges the fields of ecology and human health. He works with both modelling systems and pollution monitors around the country to keep AirRater data up to date.

Grant studied the impact of smoke pollution from landscape fire on human health and developed predictive models for smoke exposure for the ARC-linkage Biomass Smoke Project. As a research fellow for the NSW Bushfire Risk Management Research Hub, he is developing modelling tools to understand fire history and how Australian fire regimes and vegetation will shift under climate change, and to improve prescribed burn planning.
