AirRater is now available in Port Macquarie! Peat fires are continuing to send smoke across the Port Macquarie area.
The AirRater team are supporting the public health response to the fires by monitoring smoke levels both indoors and outdoors at the Port Macquarie library. This is letting us both keep track of air pollution levels in real time, and test how well the library works as a ‘clean air shelter’.
You can view the air pollution information from the outdoor monitors via AirRater by downloading the app and saving Port Macquarie as your location.
By using AirRater to stay aware, you can be better prepared and know when you need to take action to protect your health from the effects of the smoke.
